The quintet members are Emily Larkin, violin; Leslie Schmuldt, violin; Savannah Ireland, viola; Amanda Lozano, cello; and Jolie-Grace Wareham, bass. Way to go!

District 87 Honors Music Festival

Band and choir students from all four Glenbard schools will gathered Tuesday, March 19 at Glenbard North for the annual District 87 Honors Music Festival.  The Honor Band, Honor Choir, and Honor Chamber Choir rehearsed and performed with fellow musicians from around the district.  The guest conductors were (band) Dr. Andrew Boysen, Jr. from the University of New Hampshire, and (choir) Dr. John Hurty from Augustana College.  Congratulations to all students involved!

Drake University Trombone Choir Visit

On Monday, March 18, Biester Auditorium was filled with the sweet sounds of low brass as the Drake University trombone choir played a full-length concert for our students. Directed by Dr. Grady McGrannahan, the group is on a tour culminating in a performance at the Eastern Trombone Workshop in Arlington, VA. Their program included everything from Mozart to Willy Wonka. What a great way to start the week!

Student Achievements

Congratulations to choir senior Antonio Camacho on his outstanding performance as part of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) national Mixed Honor Choir! Antonio was the only student from Illinois selected for this ensemble. Way to go!
