What We Do

The primary objectives of the the Glenbard East Music Association (GEMA) are to generate and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various music classes and performing ensembles at Glenbard East High School, lend moral and financial support to the music programs, cooperate with the music department personnel in building and maintaining an organization of people and parents for the purpose of promoting the programs and general activities, and to raise and disburse funds for any or all of the approved projects or objectives of the organization.

GEMA projects include:

We offer a number of fundraisers! Our fundraisers are designed to help the program and students as much as possible while minimizing the hassle and time demand on our families. Please join us for Dining for Dollars (next event information coming soon) and the Mattress Sale at East every autumn!

GEMA Executive Board meetings are held roughly once per quarter. These meetings are open to GEMA members, music families, and the general public. The 2018-19 meeting schedule will be announced soon!

The GEMA executive board is here to help! Please do not hesitate to contact our executive board members with questions about our organization.
